Hypnosis - Smoking Cessation

Hypnosis is an effective approach for those who are ready to ‘kick the habit’ for good.

At Hope & Heal we offer two different approaches based on your smoking history and previous attempts at quitting. Please call for a free consultation and to discuss which program will be most effective for you.

Two session stop smoking
The two session approach is typically recommended for those who:
• have been smoking for short periods of time;
• have easily quit in the past; and,
• are highly motivated to stop smoking.

It is more effective than a one session stop-smoking approach as it will help to address the reason that the habit was initially started.

Five session stop smoking
The five session approach is more comprehensive and provides insight into other factors that may be involved in the smoking habit.

It is used for those who:
• have tried to quit before but started again because of feelings of irritability or uncontrollable emotions;
• gained significant amounts of weight after smoking cessation;
• feel nervous at the thought of quitting

Typically smokers find that stressful situations exacerbate their smoking behavior or start the smoking habit again after a successful period of non-smoking. Stress is inevitable but smoking does not need to be. The five session stop smoking approach will address the triggers that lead to smoking (i.e. those events/occurrences which make you crave or desire a cigarette). Once we have dealt with these triggers you will find that your ability to cope with stressors in your life, without smoking, will be easy. You can truly be a non-smoker for the rest of your life!

All clients are given the option to learn 7th Path Self Hypnosis®. This is offered as a complimentary tool to aid you in your success. It is a tool that can be taken with you when you complete your sessions, and it helps provide the continuing strength and personal renewal to deal with life and its challenges in a healthy and wholesome way.

Many smokers are concerned about potential weight gain when they quit smoking. Please let me know if this is a concern and we can tailor your sessions to address this to assist you in smoking cessation without weight gain.
